Remove the first layer of the cabbage
Chop the cabbage up into 1-2 inch piece
Rinse the cabbage in a strainer. Let the wet cabbage drain.
1/8 cup of olive oil
1/2 white onion
1/3 yellow bell pepper
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
Add the oil olive to a Dutch oven over a high heat. Do not let the oil burn, just insure it is hot enough to place the cabbage when ready.
Add the cabbage to the oil, THEN add the onion and bell pepper, stir. Once the vegetables and cabbage have begun to cook add the seasonings. continue to cook until the cabbage is tender. Remove from heat and serve hot. You can top with hot sauce or eat it plain. Enjoy
